News PHOTO CALL: Former Winners, Nominees Gather to Announce 2005 Tony Award Nominations The second most important day in the theatrical season – trumped only by the awards ceremony itself – occurred on May 10 when four of the Broadway stage’s best loved performers read aloud the nominations for the 2005 Tony Awards at the Marriot Marquis Hotel.

Former winners Brian Stokes Mitchell (Kiss Me, Kate) and Alan Cumming (Cabaret) joined two-time nominees Kate Burton (Hedda Gabler, The Elephant Man) and Lynn Redgrave (Shakespeare for My Father, Mrs. Warren's Profession) on the podium early in the morning to announce the names of the lucky people and productions. A complete list of the nominees can be found here.

The 2005 Tony Awards will be broadcast by CBS on June 5 at 8 PM. Last year’s Leading Actor in a Musical winner Hugh Jackman will return as host.
