Cast members of Frankenstein, which played Off-Broadway's 37 Arts last season, convened Sept. 4 to celebrate the release of the musical's original cast recording.

Distributed by Friends of Ghostlight, the album is now available at online sources such as iTunes, Amazon MP3 and Rhapsody and will hit store shelves Sept. 30. With a score by Mark Baron and lyrics by Jeffrey Jackson, the show boasted Hunter Foster as Victor Frankenstein, Christiane Noll as Elizabeth, Steve Blanchard as The Creature, Jim Stanek as Henry and Mandy Bruno as Justine. Becky Barta, Nick Cartell, Casey Erin Clark, Struan Erlenborn, Eric Michael Gillett, Leslie Henstock, Patrick Mellen and Aaron Serotsky rounded out the cast.

The musical, adapted from Mary Shelley's novel, ran for 70 performances in the fall of 2007.

An extension of Sh-K-Boom & Ghostlight Records, Friends of Ghostlight was established to help distribute independently produced musical theatre recordings and solo albums to the world.
