Filmdom's Stanley Tucci and TV's Edie Falco star in the Broadway revival of Terrence McNally's Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, opening at the Belasco Theatre Aug. 8. The somewhat old-fashioned romance features a middle-aged boy who meets a plain-jane girl and, despite mutual wounds that haven't healed, they fall in love.
The event, organized by Nattalyee Randall and Courtney Daniels, will feature such guest speakers as Broadway for Racial Justice founder Brandon Michael Nase and AFECT co-founder Eden Espinosa.
Betty Buckley, Matthew Broderick, André De Shields, Jane Krakowski, Bernadette Peters, and Lillias White are also part of The York Theatre Company benefit.
