News PHOTO CALL: Good Morning, Beverly - Hairspray at NSMT Paul C. Vogt and Bridie Carroll head the cast of Hairspray at the North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly, MA. The production opened at the theatre-in-the-round on Oct. 24.

Vogt, who succeeded Harvey Fierstein in the Las Vegas company of Hairspray, plays Tracy Turnblad's full-figured mom Edna. Bridie Carroll, a recent graduate of the Boston Conservatory, plays Edna's daughter Tracy. The company also features Inga Ballard (Motormouth Mabel), David Coffee (Harriman F. Spritzer, Principal, Mr. Pinky, Guard) Dick Decareau (Wilbur Turnblad), Todd Dubail (Corny Collins), Valerie Fagan (Prudy Pingleton/Gym Teacher/Matron), David Larson (Link Larkin), Deb Lyons (Velma Von Tussle), Sarah Elizabeth Nischwitz (Penny Pingleton), Dashaun Young (Seaweed) and Dana Zihlman (Amber Von Tussle).

Directed and choreographed by Barry Ivan, Hairspray is scheduled to play the Massachusetts venue through Nov. 19.
