News PHOTO CALL: Graynor, Ferrera, Cerveris at Opening of Adam Rapp's Ghosts in the Cottonwoods Adam Rapp's Ghosts in the Cottonwoods, a new dark tale presented by the acclaimed downtown theatre troupe the Amoralists, officially opened Nov. 13 at Theatre 80 at St. Marks.

Here's how the Amoralists describe the play: "On the night of a terrible storm, a single mother and her younger son await the arrival of the older son, who has broken out of prison. Two others arrive before him: a stranger with a wounded leg and a girl with a suitcase. Nothing will ever be the same."

Rapp also directs the world-premiere production that began previews Nov. 11 and will run through Dec. 6. The cast features Amoralists regulars William Apps, James Kautz, Nick Lawson, Sarah Lemp, Mandy Nicole Moore and Matthew Pilieci.

Rapp's plays include The Metal Children, Nocturne, Faster, Animals & Plants, Finer Noble Gases, Stone Cold Dead Serious, Blackbird, Gompers, Essential Self-Defense and Red Light Winter.
