News Photo Call: Hamilton Triumphs, Sting Sails Back to NY and Cerveris Rocks a Black Tutu at the 2015 Obie Awards Hamilton, the acclaimed new musical that premiered Off-Broadway at the Public Theater earlier this season, was named Best New American Theatre Work at the 60th Annual Obie Awards, which were announced May 18.

Co-presented by the American Theatre Wing and The Village Voice, the Obie Awards celebrate excellence in theatre Off-Broadway. "Orange is the New Black"'s Lea DeLaria hosted the ceremony, which took place at Webster Hall.

Hamilton Triumphs, Sting Sails Back to NY and Cerveris Rocks a Black Tutu at the 2015 Obie Awards

Hamilton, which arrives on Broadway this July after a sold-out downtown run, picked up another theatrical honor, having already won top prizes from the Lucille Lortel Awards and New York Drama Critics' Circle.
