Daytime's Cassandra Creech (she's a regular on "As the World Turns") and Academy Award winner Hilary Swank ("Boys Don't Cry") attended Proof's Broadway opening Oct. 24. Set in Chicago, Proof has Mary Louise Parker as secretive Catherine, who, after the death of her father, is visited by his ghost (Larry Bryggman), her upscale, critical sister (Johanna Day) and an awkward, unexpected suitor, a student of her father's (Ben Shenkman). The play, which ran Off-Broadway at Manhattan Theatre Club May 23-July 30, transferred to Broadway's Walter Kerr.
