Al Hirshfeld (accompanied by his wife, on left), theatrical dance legend Marge Champion and Tovah Feldshuh attended the Oct. 19 opening night performance of Neil Simon's The Dinner Party, taking its first Broadway bow at the Music Box Theatre.
The new comedy about marriage and divorce, set at an upscale gourmet restaurant in Paris, where a party is being thrown by a well known divorce lawyer, stars Len Cariou, Veanne Cox, Penny Fuller, Jan Maxwell, John Ritter and Henry Winkler. The Dinner Party is the 31st play from Simon, the author of The Odd Couple, Brighton Beach Memoirs and Lost in Yonkers.
