The producers of the upcoming Broadway revival of Inherit the Wind, starring Brian Dennehy and Christopher Plummer, held a press rehearsal Feb. 26 for reporters to meet the cast and creatives.

The cast of Inherit the Wind will feature Plummer in the role of Henry Drummond (based on Clarence Darrow) and Dennehy as Matthew Harrison Brady (based on William Jennings Bryan) with Byron Jennings as Rev. Jeremiah Brown and Tony Award winner Denis O'Hare as E. K. Hornbeck. The company will also include Terry Beaver as the Judge and Beth Fowler as Mrs. Brady.

Inherit The Wind, according to press notes, is "a fictionalized retelling of the famous 1925 'Monkey Trial,' in which science teacher John Scopes was tried and convicted for teaching Darwin’s theory of evolution, violating a Tennessee law that forbade teaching any theory that conflicted with the biblical conception of divine creation."
