Brian Murray (far left) and Marion Seldes are the older couple and stars of Edward Albee (center)'s The Play About the Baby. They harrass a younger couple, who may have just had a baby - David Burtka and Kathleen Early. The Play About the Baby tells of a young couple who appear to have just had a child, only to find that illusion challenged by the arrival of an older man and woman. The old couple, possibly incarnations of God or the devil or the young couple themselves grown old, but described as real people and representing a real threat, take away the their child and, with it, steal their innocence. A new comedy-drama for New York from three-time Pulitzer Prize winner Albee, Baby plays at the Century Center for the Performing Arts.
