
New Yorker cartoonist Joy Behar, who created The Tale of the Allergist's Wife logo, and 2000 Tony Award winner Cherry Jones attended the Nov. 2 opening night performance of the new Charles Busch comedy. The urban play by Charles Busch — a sellout hit at Off-Broadway's Manhattan Theatre Club in the spring - is the story of a depressive, kvetching Upper West Side wife, Marjorie Taub (played by Lavin), who cannot find hope in her life despite her daily intellectual, social and charitable activities.
