Williamstown is the yearly summer theatre festival that is closely watched from nearby New York City due it's penchant for attracting big name professionals, from actors to directors to designers. The revival of Oscar Wilde's Lady Windermere's Fan runs on the Main Stage through July 17. At left, actress Jean Smart is seen in the production, as well as in joining Samantha Soule and Kaufman in cutting the inaugural “Herbert Allen Cake” on opening night. The cake is so-named for Herb Allen, the lead donor for the festival's new home at the ’62 Center for Theatre and Dance at Williams College.

Below, Corey Brill, Derek Lucci, Roger Rees, Richard Gilliland, Isabel Keating, Smart, Soule, Chandler Williams, Kaufman and Sandra Shipley celebrate at the production's opening night party.
