News PHOTO CALL: Marian Seldes, Stephen Schwartz and Verge Cast Celebrate Release of "Patti LuPone: A Memoir" A party was held at the Vivian Beaumont Theater to celebrate "Patti LuPone: A Memoir," the new 336-page hardcover tome from the two-time Tony and Olivier Award-winning actress, which hit stores Sept. 14.

LuPone penned the book with writer Digby Diehl. The book traces her Long Island upbringing and introduction to show business through her Tony Award-winning hit, Evita, and her recent Tony-winning run in the Broadway revival of Gypsy.

Included in the pages are numerous personal and professional photos of LuPone (numbering almost 100), including costume fittings for Sunset Boulevard, backstage photos from Evita and The Robber Bridegroom and her early years as an acting student at the Juilliard School.

Penned with her signature candor, "Patti LuPone: A Memoir" devotes chapters to her launch to stardom in Evita, as well as the much-publicized firing from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard and her work on the television series "Life Goes On."
