Conceived, directed and choreographed by Blackstone, Happy We'll Be is a "full-length work of dance theatre that uses the body and music alone to tell a complete story," according to press notes. "There is no dialogue in the 90-minute piece, but plenty of communication. The choreography is technically demanding but always story driven and character based. The styles range from classic theatre dance to street jazz to contemporary as the characters each pursue their own version of happiness."
