The New Adventures production played a preview at Plymouth's Theatre Royal before opening at this year's Edinburgh International Festival at the King's Theatre. The London run ends Sept. 14 before the show tours to Norwich's Theatre Royal (Sept. 16-20) and Newcastle's Theatre Royal (Sept. 23-27).
Bourne creates, directs and choreographs the new show, which features music by Terry Davies and designs Lez Brotherston.
Set in the image-obsessed worlds of contemporary art and politics, the dark fairy tale, press notes state, "tells the story of an exceptionally alluring young man who makes a pact with the devil." The work is freely adapted from Oscar Wilde's classic.
Richard Winsor (Edward Scissorhands) takes on the title role in a cast that also features Michela Meazza (The Car Man) as Lady H and Aaron Sillis (The Car Man) as Basil Hallward with Scott Ambler, Ashley Bain, Jared Hageman, Chris Marney and Shaun Walters.
