News PHOTO CALL: Meet the Cast of The Countess of Storyville, With Vivian Reed and Deborah Cox The New Orleans-set musical The Countess of Storyville, featuring Vivian Reed and Deborah Cox, will take place in February at The Peter J. Sharp Theatre.

Storyville, which was penned by R.M. Cohen (book), Martin Silvestri (music) and Joel Higgins (lyrics), will be directed by Tony nominee Lynne Taylor-Corbett.

In addition to Tony Award nominee Reed (Bubbling Brown Sugar) and Grammy Award nominee Cox (Jekyll & Hyde), the cast will feature Enrique Acevedo (Giant), Jeremy Benton (42nd Street), Gavin Gregory, Peter Cormican (Lady in the Dark), Brittney Lee Hamilton (Cookin’), Jamie Laverdiere (Memphis), Doreen Montalvo (In the Heights), Paul Schoeffler (Rock of Ages) are Cleve Asbury (How To Succeed…), Breanna Bartley (Black Nativity Now), Trevor Braun (Billy Elliot), Liam James Daniels (Pilot Fish), Leah Edwards (Master Class), Sydney Harcourt (The Lion King), David Bryant Johnson, Christine LaDuca (Distant Thunder), Kevin B. McGlynn (Flambe Dreams), Kate Marilley (Billy Elliot), Joshua Price (Freckleface Strawberry), Bruce Sabath (Company) and Kit Treece (A Chorus Line).

The Countess of Storyville, according to press notes, "tells the mystery-laden tale of 'Countess' Willie Dupree, a celebrated Parisian prostitute, on the occasion of her 1910 return to New Orleans, the city of her birth, where her mother was executed for murder years earlier. Dupree is about to open a sumptuous new bordello in the Storyville red light district, the demimonde saturated in race and revolution, sex and secrecy - and voodoo."

The creative team comprises Dana Kenn (sets), Dustin Cross (costumes/props), Jason Kantrowitz (lights), Carl Casella (sound), Glen Kinnaird (technical director) and Jason Yarcho (musical director). Show times will be Feb. 12 at 7 PM, Feb. 13 at 2 PM and 7 PM, Feb. 14 at 1 PM and Feb. 15 at 2 PM.
