At the end of the Sept. 30 Merrily We Roll Along, composer Stephen Sondheim and director Harold Prince embraced, a touching sight for theatre fans who have come to idolize the work of both men. Sondheim and Prince with his daughter (also a director) Daisy celebrated afterwards at the Kaplan Penthouse at Lincoln Center.

Merrily We Roll Along, which raised more than $200,000 for Musical Theatre Works, was hosted by actor Jason Alexander, the Merrily alumnus who has gone on to greatest fame. He described the checkered history and complex plot of the piece, which featured original cast mates Lonny Price and Jim Walton along with Broadway's Liz Callaway.
