The piece by Amy Coleman and Valerie Smaldone, which is described as “a comical and endearing look at an unlikely friendship between two women that develops when their paths in life collide”, has previously had a reading at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences at HBO, and productions at the Downstairs Cabaret Theatre in Rochester, New York and Il Cortile Restaurant in New York City. At left, Smaldone and director Sarah Gurfield are seen after the first performance. Spit It Out! runs through Aug. 6 at the WorkShop Theatre.
