That date also marked the arrival of Christopher Shyer and Ben Livingston as, respectively, Sam Carmichael and Harry Bright, two of the former loves of Donna Sheridan (played by Carolee Carmello). Both Shyer and Livingston are making their Broadway debuts in the hit musical at the Winter Garden Theatre.
McLane, Shyer and Livingston joined a company that includes Carmello as Donna Sheridan, Carey Anderson as Sophie Sheridan, Gina Ferrall as Rosie, Andy Kelso as Sky and Pearce Bunting as Bill Austin.
Mamma Mia! employs the hit songs of famed pop group ABBA to tell the story of Sophie Sheridan, a young girl who hopes to discover the identity of her father. On the eve of her wedding, she brings three men from her mother Donna's past back to the Greek island they visited over two decades ago.
