News PHOTO CALL: Not a Genuine Black Man Comes to Off-Broadway’s DR2 Theatre Brian Copeland—a San Francisco-based radio talk-show host, comic, writer and actor—brought his show Not a Genuine Black Man to Off-Broadway with the opening of the play at the DR2 Theatre on May 17.

Directed by Bob Balaban (Family Secrets) the play tells the story of "Copeland's African-American family moving to one of the most exclusively white suburbs in America,” according to production notes. Below, producer Daryl Roth, Copeland and Charles Busch are seen at the opening night party for Not a Genuine Black Man at Borgo Antico Restaurant, located at 22 East 13th Street in New York City.
