News PHOTO CALL: Peer Gynt in the Park Lake Gålå's production of Peer Gynt heads to New York City's Delacorte Theater for a special three-performance concert version of the Henrik Ibsen classic, performing for the first time outside of Norway.

Svein Sturla Hungnes — who also stars as the title character — directs a cast of more than 150 in the production, which plays at the Central Park stage Oct. 5-7. All performances are at 7:30 PM. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Ibsen's death, this epic staging — staged annually at Norway's Peer Gynt Festival on Lake Gålå — will be performed in English. The Edvard Grieg score will be performed by the American Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Timothy Myers, and the production also features the Peer Gynt Chamber Choir led by Nina Moen.
