Lisa Peterson (The Model Apartment) directs the New York premiere at 59E59 Theaters. The cast features Michael Countryman in the title role oppsite Donnetta Lavinia Grays as Player 1 and Jeremy Bobb as Player 2. The Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Dinner With Friends penned the new work that centers on a "tale of adventure that left England spellbound in the 19th century," according to Primary Stages. Shipwrecked! follows "Louis de Rougemont, a would-be explorer, [who] invites you to hear his amazing story of bravery, survival and celebrity… [and] examines how far we're willing to blur the line between fact and fiction in order to leave our mark on the world."
