Joe Lisi (Skipper), Kohl Sudduth (Jason Chenier) and Dominic Fumusa (Toddy Koovitz) glare out from the dugout in Richard Greenberg's latest play, Take Me Out, an examination of gay life and prejudice in sports.

In the play, Darren Leeming (Daniel Sunjata), a young and popular baseball star at the top of his game, calls a press conference and, without telling anyone what he is about to do, comes out to the media. Not surprisingly, there is considerable fall out. Take Me Out, which also features Denis O'Hare and Kevin Carroll, opens Sept. 5 at the Public Theatre.
