Les Misérables, the classic story of broken dreams and passions set in 19th century France, is also directed by Mann. He is reprising the role of Javert, which he originated on Broadway and for which he received a Tony nomination. The cast also features fellow Tony nominee Liz Larsen (Beautiful) and Ariana DeBose (Hamilton).
CRT will then present Peter Pan, with Mann in the role of Captain Hook. The ever-popular show will be directed and choreographed by Cassie Abate (A Chorus Line, The Music Man).
The summer series will conclude with Xanadu, adapted from the cult movie-musical starring Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly. The roller-skating comedy will star Luke Hamilton and Amandina Altomare.
Tickets and more information are available by visiting crt.uconn.edu or calling (860) 486-2113.
The 30th anniversary burlesque performance, benefiting Broadway Cares, featured Ariana DeBose, Ramin Karimloo, the Queens of SIX: The Musical, and more.
