News PHOTO CALL: Shatner's World Broadway Opening Night Shatner's World: We Just Live in It, featuring Emmy-winning actor William Shatner, who is best known for his work on TV's "Star Trek" and "Boston Legal," officially opened at Broadway's Music Box Theatre Feb. 16 following previews that began Feb. 14.

Performances will continue through March 4. (The Music Box was recently the home of the revival of Noel Coward's Private Lives; this spring it will also welcome the London hit One Man, Two Guvnors.)

The two-hour show, according to press notes, takes "audiences on a voyage through Shatner's life and career, from Shakespearean stage actor to internationally known icon and raconteur, known as much for his unique persona as for his expansive body of work on television and film."

Here are photos from opening night.

Returning to Broadway for the first time since 1962, Shatner said in a recent statement, "I've been pretty busy since I last played the Music Box. I've been refurbished; I hope the theatre has been too. My plan has always been to return to Broadway every 50 years. I can’t ask my fans to wait for me longer than Halley's Comet, so I'm coming back."

The creative team includes Scott Faris (director), Edward Pierce (scenic design), Ken Billington (lighting design) and Peter Fitzgerald (sound design).

The Broadway engagement will be followed by a national tour that launches March 10 in Los Angeles.

Shatner has previously appeared on Broadway in A Shot in the Dark, The World of Suzie Wong and Tamburlaine the Great.

Shatner's World is produced by Innovation Arts & Entertainment, Larry A Thompson Organization, Adam Troy Epstein, Larry A Thompson, Seth Keyes, and Josh Sherman.

The Music Box Theatre is located at 239 West 45th Street. Tickets are available through www.telecharge.com and are priced $125-$37.50.
