Psych director Jim Simpson brought his wife along to the opening of Playwrights Horizon's latest production Dec. 16. Only she happens to be filmdom's Sigourney Weaver, currently on the boards opposite Bill Murray in The Guys. Danny Burstein, Marissa Copeland, Heather Goldenhersh, Enid Graham, Katie Kreisler and Damian Young play roles (sometimes doubling and tripling) in Psych, a new satiric comedy that picks at the scab of graduate-school department dynamics while examining a group of flawed people who sit in judgment of Sunny Goldfarb (Goldenhersh), the leather mistress in question. The work is made more complicated by the fact that Sunny is not a clear-thinking heroine. Simpson directs the Evan Smith comedy for Playwrights Horizons at the Peter Norton Space, where it plays through Dec. 30.
