News PHOTO CALL: Something Wicked This Day Comes Fans braved the blustering winds and low temperatures to show their support for Wicked as the musical celebrated its third anniversary on Broadway.

The annual event featured the "Be Wicked" singing contest, face painting, games, food and refreshments. The first 100 people who attended in green face even received a free copy of Gregory Maguire's "Wicked" sequel, "Son of a Witch."

Wicked, with a book by Winnie Holzman, began previews on Broadway Oct. 8, 2003, with an official opening Oct. 30, 2003. The Broadway company — directed by Joe Mantello — continues to play the Gershwin Theatre.
