Stars in the Alley got its chance to rock with Glenn Carter singing "Gethsemane" and the Footloose Five do their boy band rendition of their show's title number.
All of Broadway steps out to give a number or introduce one (giving the plays a chance to speak) for the free concert, Stars in the Alley, held May 31 in Shubert Alley. Everyone from the newest additions to the scene -- Craig Bierko, Carter and Sharon Lawrence - to stalwarts like Rebecca Luker and Bernadette Peters, are on hand to sing and talk about Broadway theatre and the current season's offerings.
