The Outgoing Tide, according to producers, explores "the ebb and flow of a family dynamic… In a summer cottage on Chesapeake Bay, Gunner has hatched an unorthodox plan to secure his family's future but meets with resistance from his wife and grown son."

"While The Outgoing Tide is about forgiveness and making up with our family for the mistakes we've made in life, my first job as a writer is to entertain," added playwright Graham in an earlier statement. "When audiences get caught up in a story, I have done my job."

Other members of the creative team include set designer Dirk Durossette, costume designer Wade Laboissonnier, lighting designer James Leitner and sound designer David O'Connor.
