Arden artistic director Terrence J. Nolen directs a cast that also features Scott Greer, Walter Charles (original Broadway casts of Sweeney Todd and Cats), Caroline Dooner, Sherri Edelen, Liz Filios, Tim Hill, Brian Hissong, Darren Michael Hengst, Maggie Lakis and Maureen Torsney-Weir, Sarah Dacey-Charles (Broadway's Les Miserables), Michael "Tuba" McKinsey and Danielle Standifer. Here is a first look at the show, which runs at the Arden's home in Philadelphia through July 4:
The production will include Bernstein’s incidental music for Lillian Hellman’s adaptation of The Lark, and Menotti’s The Unicorn, The Gorgon, and The Manticore.
Based on the novel and film by Frank Cottrell Boyce, the new musical will reunite Guettel with Tony-winning Light in the Piazza director Bartlett Sher.
