Joining Trensch (Matilda, Bare), Vivino (Wicked) and Hager (How to Succeed..., Bye Bye Birdie) at the 9:30 PM concert were Paul Castree (Young Frankenstein, 9 to 5), Jesse JP Johnson (Wicked, Altar Boyz), Veronica Kuehn (Avenue Q), Libby Servais (Wicked) and Bethany Moore (Pippin).
Here's how the concert was billed: "Many performers understudy lead roles and rehearse weekly, preparing for their moment in the spotlight. But what if their moment never arrives? On Aug. 5, those understudies finally get to play those roles for a live audience in NOT At This Performance at 54 Below."
Audiences heard songs from All Shook Up, Hairspray, High Fidelity, Into the Woods, Rent, Spring Awakening and Xanadu as well as backstage scoop and behind-the-scenes stories.
The evening was produced by Shoshana Feinstein with music direction by Benjamin M. Rauhala.
