News PHOTO CALL: The 39 Steps Opens at New World Stages The fast-paced comic thriller The 39 Steps celebrated its leap from Broadway to Off-Broadway April 15 with an opening night at New World Stages.

The 39 Steps opened on Broadway at Roundabout Theatre Company's American Airlines Theatre Jan. 15, 2008. The production then moved to the Cort Theatre and Helen Hayes Theatre, playing for over two years and 771 performances before its final Broadway performance at the Hayes Jan. 10, 2010. According to the producers, "The 39 Steps features a cast of four actors who, against all odds, breathlessly and hilariously attempt to reenact all of the characters, locations and famous scenes in Hitchcock's 1935 film thriller with just a few props and a lot of theatrical ingenuity and split second quick changes."

The cast of The 39 Steps features John Behlmann, Cameron Folmar, Jamie Jackson and Kate MacCluggage.
