It was a company picnic literally for Drama Dept. members and Country Club alumni Cynthia Nixon and playwright Douglas Carter Beane (also the group's artistic director) at the Dept.'s July 17th fundraiser. The dressed down gala was held to help the company match the Robert Sturm $1.5 million challenge gift. Among the attractions - a performance from fashion's Isaac Mizrahi and food cooked by company members (Billy Crudup's baked beans, a three Beane salad and Stephen Flaherty's onion tarts).
