News PHOTO CALL: The Lion King Performs at White House Dinner Cast members from Broadway's The Lion King performed at the White House State Dinner Sept. 15.

President and Mrs. Bush hosted the evening, which honored Ghana's President John Kufuor and Mrs. Theresa Kufuor.

Tshidi Manye (Rafiki), Dashaun Young (Simba) and Kissy Simmons (Nala) were among the 11 members of the Broadway company to perform songs like "One by One," "Shadowland," "Can You Feel the Love Tonight," and "Circle of Life."
