News PHOTO CALL: The Players Celebrate "A Pipe Night for Brian Murray" Brian Murray was celebrated by The Players Foundation with "A Pipe Night" June 14 at The Players in New York City.

A longtime Players' tradition, "Pipe Nights are named for the smoking of churchwarden pipes in the evenings. Pipe Nights began in 1905 and continue as testimonials to entertainment professionals to celebrate their contribution to the arts," read an announcement. In attendance were Marian Seldes, Edward Albee, Karen Akers as well as Murray's current castmates from the Broadway revival of Mary Stuart: Janet McTeer, Harriet Walter, Robert Stanton and John Benjamin Hickey.
