The much-anticipated musical by composer Boy George, playwright Charles Busch, and producer Rosie O'Donnell has had a bumpy and gossip-filled road to their opening. Despite it all, the show did open on time and the cast, crew, and creative team joined various other friends and invited guests at the Roxy on West 18th street to celebrate their bow on Broadway.
Taboo is directed by Christopher Renshaw, with music and lyrics by Boy George, book by Charles Busch (adpated from the original book by Mark Davies), and choreography by Mark Dendy. Settings are by Tim Goodchild, lighting by Natasha Katz, costumes by Mike Nicholls and Bobby Pierce, and sound by Jonathan Deans. The show is playing an open-ended run at the Plymouth Theatre.
