Mueller, who is a Tony Award nominee for On a Clear Day You Can See Forever — and was also seen on Broadway in The Mystery of Edwin Drood and Nice Work If You Can Get It — revealed recently in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that she is considering recording her own solo album. Mueller will exit Beautiful: The Carole King Musical March 6. Her next project is the Sara Bareilles musical Waitress.
With a book by Tony and Academy Award nominee Douglas McGrath, direction by Marc Bruni and choreography by Josh Prince, Beautiful features songs written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King and Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil. Last week, the show's original Broadway cast recording (Ghostlight Records) was nominated for a 2015 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.
