Tony Award winner David Hyde Pierce (Curtains) hosted the special evening that began with a cocktail hour at 7:30 PM, followed by a special concert of Kander and Ebb material.
The evening included performances by Kander and Ebb veterans such as Liza Minnelli (Flora The Red Menace, The Rink, The Act, "Cabaret"), Chita Rivera (The Rink, Chicago, Kiss of the Spiderwoman, Debra Monk (Curtains, Steel Pier), Karen Ziemba (Curtains, Steel Pier, And The World Goes Round), Heidi Blickenstaff (First You Dream), Julia Murney (First You Dream), Norm Lewis (First You Dream), as well as the cast of the newest Kander and Ebb musical The Scottsboro Boys. Special appearances were made by Tony Award-winners Joel Grey, Kristin Chenoweth and Susan Stroman.
