The original cast of Virgins, fresh from their debut in Melbourne, Australia flew to New York to premiere their musical in the States at the NYMF. They couldn't resist paying a visit to New York's most chaste musical, Altar Boyz. Esther Hannaford, Rosemarie Harris, Verity Hunt-Ballard, Amanda Levy, and Kellie Rode met up with Jason Celaya, Zach Hanna, Landon Beard, Shaun Taylor-Corbett and Eric Schneider. *
To help cover a portion of the $15,000 costs of flights and NYC accomodation, the cast and crew of Virgins presented “Virgins Unplugged” on August 20, a benefit concert in Melbourne that included many Australian actors including Lisa McCune, David Campbell, Rhonda Burchmore, Mitchell Butel and Silvie Paladino. The benefit raised over $13,000. New York producer Matt Murphy (Altar Boyz) has covered the rest of the expenses.
