I get up and get ready for the day along with my roommate and fellow cast member, CK.

Just before the matinee "Half Hour Call" (30 minutes before showtime), we circle onstage (cast, crew and musicians) to connect, breathe and pray together. (Here is a picture of Vanessa Williams taking her turn to lead us in this time.)

After the matinee, I get out of my show gear and head out for a light and nutritious dinner.

Upon returning to the theater, I pump fists with Robert, the friendly door attendant at the Brooks Atkinson Theater for late afternoons and evenings.

We DEFINITELY take a nap in between shows! (Justin Prescott snores!)

Just before the evening "Half Hour Call", we reconnect onstage, and if there is a birthday, we sing to the person and eat cake! (Happy Birthday Dule!)

We get back into costumes, mics, wigs, etc., and hit it again! Showtime!

If there is a special guest in the audience, we quickly change after the show and meet them onstage. (Thank you Liza Minnelli for gracing us with your presence!)
Conceived by Jack Viertel and directed and choreographed by 2014 Tony nominee Warren Carlyle, After Midnight began previews Oct. 18, 2013, and opened to critical praise Nov. 3, 2013.
The production was Tony-nominated for Best Musical, Best Direction of a Musical (Carlyle), Best Choreography (Carlyle), Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical (Adriane Lenox), Best Costume Design of a Musical (Isabel Toledo), Best Lighting Design of a Musical (Howell Binkley) and Best Sound Design of a Musical (Peter Hylenski).
After Midnight received Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for Outstanding New Broadway Musical, Outstanding Director of a Musical (Carlyle), Outstanding Choreographer (Carlyle), Outstanding Costume Design (Toledo) and Outstanding Lighting Design (Binkley) as well as Drama League nominations for Outstanding Production of a Broadway or Off-Broadway Musical and the Distinguished Performance Award (Adriane Lenox) and three Drama Desk nominations for Outstanding Revue, Outstanding Choreography (Carlyle) and Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical (Lenox).
