News PHOTO EXCLUSIVE: "I Can't Do It Alone!" A One-Woman, Two-Show Day with Arlington Leading Lady Alexandra Silber Actress, singer, writer and raconteur Alexandra Silber currently stars in Victor Lodato and Polly Pen's new musical Arlington. She shares a recent two-show day at the Vineyard Theatre, documenting the rituals and duties, trials and tribulations, that come with the territory when leading a one-woman show.

"Dear Playbill Readers," writes Silber. "I'm baaaaack. Again. It is hard to resist really, when you all are so enthusiastic. So here we are: A One-Person, Two-Show Day, in Three... (okay, THIRTY SEVEN) parts. Ta daaaaaa! Welcome to Arlington at the Vineyard Theatre!"

"I don't want to say that I've outdone myself. But it is entirely possible that my crazy has reached a new height. No longer is spending an entire weekend in the country in character with Sierra Boggess insane ENOUGH. No longer is a fully fledged 'Actor Prepares' version of Love Story sufficient."

"NO. This is the very edge of madness, people. This is 'Mad Scene' mad. Mad Margaret mad. Mad Hatter mad. This... is Beggar Woman mad. Enjoy!"

Arlington marks a reunion for the Vineyard and Pen, whose musicals Goblin Market, Bed And Sofa and Christina Alberta's Father made their debuts at the Off-Broadway venue. Her works also include The Night Governess, Her Lightness, The Dumb Cake and Embarrassments.
