Classic Arts News Photo Journal: Luc Bondy's Production of Hercules at BAM Luc Bondy's modern-dress staging of Handel's Hercules opened on February 14 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
The production, which originated at the Aix-en-Provence Festival in 2004, features William Shimell in the title role, Joyce DiDonato as Dejanira, Ed Lyon as Hyllus, Ingela Bohlin as Iole, Katija Dragojevic as Lichas, and Simon Kirkbride as the Priest of Jupiter.

It is accompanied by Les Arts Florissants conducted by William Christie.

Sets are by Richard Peduzzi, costumes by Rudy Sabounghi, and lighting by Dominique Bruguire. Michel Kelemenis is the movement director.
