Classic Arts News Photo Journal: MOMIX at the Joyce The dance troupe MOMIX opens the second of three weeks at the Joyce Theater tonight with the return of Lunar Sea.
Lunar Sea uses black and white costumes and a "black lighting technique" to create the illusion that strange life forms are floating through thin air. Conceived and directed by MOMIX founder and director Moses Pendleton, it premiered in Philadelphia in January 2005 and came to New York for the first time later that spring. The current run continues through May 28.
