Classic Arts News Photo Journal: Seattle Opera's Ring Cycle The Seattle Opera began three complete performances of Wagner's Ring cycle on August 7. The last of the cycles ends on August 28.
The current staging of the Ring, Seattle Opera's third, originally premiered in 2001. It is directed by Stephen Wadsworth, with sets by Thomas Lynch, lighting by Peter Kaczorowaski, and costumes by Martin Pakledinaz. Robert Spano, the music director of the Atlanta Symphony, is the conductor.

The cast includes Greer Grimsley as Wotan, Peter Kazaras as Loge, Richard Paul Fink as Alberich, Stephanie Blythe as Fricka and the Second Norn, Jane Eaglen as Br‹nnhilde, Alan Woodrow as Siegfried, and Beth Clayton as Flosshilde.
