News PHOTO RECALL: Six Plays, Six People, Six Theatres In the age of $14 million capilizations for Broadway musicals, who can blame producers for trying to find entertaining and fiscally responsible alternatives? This kind of thinking has led to what is possibly the largest convergence of one-person shows on Broadway at one time.

At one point just days ago one-person shows took up residence at six Broadway theatres. The shows 700 Sundays (Billy Crystal), The Good Body (Eve Ensler), Whoopi (Whoopi Goldberg), Golda's Balcony (Tovah Feldshuh), Dame Edna (Barry Humphries), and Laugh Whore (Mario Cantone) were joined this season by one-person Off-Broadway hits such as bridge and tunnel and Nine Parts of Desire.
