Playbill Pride Go Inside Day 2 of Playbill's Weekend-Long Pride in Times Square Celebration

The event included appearances from Hedwig and the Angry Inch's Stephen Trask, the cast of A Strange Loop, and more.

Coinciding with NYC Pride, Playbill and the Times Square Alliance teamed up June 24–25 for Pride in Times Square with a weekend-long event bringing together stage and screen stars, Broadway shows, LGBTQIA+ non-profits, and more to Times Square between 45th and 47th Streets—the heart of Broadway. Here are some highlights from the June 25 festivities.

With day one successfully closed, the second day of Pride in Times Square kicked off with a rousing Head Over Heels sing-along concert on the mainstage.

Next up, A Strange Loop's Jason Veasey and Vicki Whooper, Erin Gioia Albrecht, and Cherie B. Tay from the show's all-queer stage management team hit the stage for a panel discussion covering the 2022 Tony Award-winning Best Musical.

The original Broadway cast of Taboo reunited to lead a sing-along concert of the cult favorite musical on the mainstage.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch's Stephen Trask, Mason Alexander Park, Sean Liliquist, Justin Craig, and Andres Valbuena led a sing-along concert of the rock score.

Saturday's mainstage programming culminated with The Big Broadway Dance Party, a pride-themed theatrical dance fest for everyone.
