News Phyllida Lloyd to Direct Cush Jumbo in Josephine and I at London's Bush; Disgraced and The Herd Extend Phyllida Lloyd has joined the creative team for the world premiere of Cush Jumbo's Josephine and I, which begins performances July 12, prior to an official opening July 17, for a run through Aug. 10 at London's Bush Theatre.

Jumbo, who will appear in her own play as Josephine Baker, is reunited with Lloyd, following their recent collaboration on the all-female Julius Caesar at the Donmar Warehouse, which Lloyd directed and in which Jumbo played Mark Antony. Lloyd's theatre credits include the global success of Mamma Mia! (still running in the West End and on Broadway, as well as the subsequent film version). Other productions at the Donmar Warehouse include Mary Stuart (subsequently transferring to the West End and Broadway, starring Harriet Walter and Janet McTeer), The Threepenny Opera and David Mamet's Boston Marriage. At the National Theatre she has directed Pericles, Duchess of Malfi, What the Butler Saw, The Way of the World and The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie.  Her most recent film was "The Iron Lady," reuniting her with Meryl Streep from the film of "Mamma Mia!"

Further updates at the Bush Theatre will see the British premiere of Ayad Akhtar's Disgraced now booking to June 22 (instead of the previously announced June 15), and Rory Kinnear's The Herd to Oct. 26 (instead of the previously announced Oct. 12).
