News Piazza's Pasquale Joins Sunjata in "Rescue Me" TV Pilot Steven Pasquale, who co-starred in the recent world premiere of Adam Guettel's The Light in the Piazza, has been cast in the FX drama pilot "Rescue Me."

Variety reports that Pasquale, who is also part of the UPN Network's "Platinum" series, will play Sean Murphy in the upcoming pilot, which concerns a group of New York City firefighters after the events of September 11. The drama will also co-star Daniel Sunjata, the Tony nominated actor currently on Broadway in Take Me Out. Steven Pasquale appeared at the Mitzi Newhouse Theater in the limited engagement of A Man of No Importance, where he stopped the show nightly with the rousing “The Streets of Dublin.” Pasquale’s other theatrical credits include Spinning Into Butter, Rumpelstiltskin, The Spitfire Grill, The Wild Party, Miss Saigon, West Side Story, The Light in the Piazza and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged. On screen he has been seen in “Vanilla Sky” and “Six Feet Under.”

"Rescue Me" will begin production shortly in Manhattan.
