Tony Award-winning star of stage and screen, Jane Krakowski (“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” “30 Rock”), brought some holiday cheer to Philadelphia when she appeared in the Broadway Dreams Foundation’s sixth annual White Christmas at The Inn at Grace Winery, hosted by Vicki and Chris Le Vine on Dec. 13.

In addition to Krakowski, the holiday benefit cabaret also featured performances talented local BDF Philadelphia youth performers alongside “Glee” star Alex Newell, Quentin Earl Darrington (Ragtime), Sidney DuPont (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), Tyler Hanes (A Chorus Line), Greg Kamp (Catch Me If You Can), Donnie Kehr (Jersey Boys), Ginna Le Vine (“Kid Witness”), Kirsten Scott (Big Fish) and Matthew Scott (Jersey Boys). Each year hundreds of students receive valuable musical theatre training through BDF programs offered in partnership with Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.

The Broadway Dreams Foundation, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to training, mentoring and presenting career opportunities to anyone interested in the performing arts, regardless of socioeconomic background. In 2014, over 40% of the students who attended a BDF program were on full or partial scholarship. Proceeds from White Christmas will allow BDF to offer opportunities to students in Philadelphia and other U.S. cities throughout the 2016 season

The Broadway Dreams Foundation, led by Executive Director Annette Tanner, teaches the next generation of musical theater performers how to kick start their career through unique, week-long performance intensives taught by Broadway's brightest stars and industry professionals. Attendees receive first-rate training in acting, dance and vocal performance before participating alongside their Broadway idols in concert events directed by one of the industry's finest directors. This past summer, BDF students performed at prestigious venues across the country including: The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia, PA; RWS Studios in New York, New York; RISPA in Atlanta, GA; The Pavillion at Turner Park Midtown Crossing in Omaha, NE; The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Los Angeles, CA; Stag Lodge in Park City, UT; Theatre Aspen in Aspen, CO; and Sheridan College in Toronto, ON.  In addition to the week-long Summer Performing Arts Intensives, BDF offers shorter, concentrated workshops in cities throughout the country.
