News Pippin's Anthony Wayne Will Star in You Make Me Feel, Mighty Real: A Sylvester Concert in NYC Anthony Wayne, who can currently be seen on Broadway in Pippin, will direct and star in You Make Me Feel, Mighty Real: A Sylvester Concert, which will return to NYC's (le) Poisson Rouge June 30.

The 7 PM and 10 PM concerts, presented by Anthony Ken, LLC, features Wayne as Sylvester with Priscilla Queen of the Desert actresses Anastacia McCleskey and Jacqueline B. Arnold as The Two Tons of Fun/Weather Girls. Background vocals are provided by Antoine L. Smith (Memphis) and Rashidra Scott (Sister Act). 

The show also features a live band led by drummer Jason Patterson and costumes by creative director Kendrell Bowman. A Sylvester Concert previously played at (le) Poisson Rouge in July and September 2012. 

A Sylvester Concert, based on the life of the 1970s Disco King/Queen Sylvester, "tells the life story of Sylvester through his music his way," according to press notes. "Beyond all the trials, tribulations, glitz and glamour of his lifestyle, he was a symbol for being fabulous, but also a symbol for unapologetically being who he was. The words and music of this show will enter your ear, soar through your heart andinspire your soul. Bring your dancing shoes and get ready to dance, laugh, cry and see Sylvester's Fashionable Coutures!"
